How Does it Work?

Choose the box that is right for you and your family from our box options. This will be based on the type of books you'd like your box to contain based on how your family reads.

Choose a 1, 3, 6, or 12 month subscription. Tell us a bit about yourself so that we can occasionally add custom surprises to your box!

Each 6 or 12 month subscription will include a Welcome Kit, with items selected just for you!

Your box contains a book that I have personally selected for its engaging story, compelling characters, and throught-provoking ideas. You will also receive additional book-themed gift items and occasional surprises as well.

Read The Book

Over the course of three weeks, read and enjoy the book (along with the swag)! Take a read through the accompanying booklet for games, fun facts, discussion questions, and more.

Join the Discussion

Scan the QR code in your box to join the live book club meetings via Google Meet at the end of the month (multiple meeting times available). If you can't wait until then, join the discussion boards via Google Chat to share your reactions with the other Dragons.

What is Curious Dragons?
Curious Dragons is a book subscription box designed for kids aged 9-12. Each box includes a carefully selected book, unique gifts, discussion questions, and activities to make reading engaging and fun!

How does the subscription work?
You can choose a 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscription. Each month, we’ll ship a new box right to your door with a surprise book and exciting extras. You can pause your subscription anytime.

Who chooses the books?
Our book selections are handpicked by an expert with 20 years of experience in children’s book sales. We focus on high-quality books that kids love, including diverse genres, authors, and themes.

Will my child receive books they’ve already read?
We strive to pick fresh, engaging reads, but if your child happens to have already read a book, they will likely have a different experience reading it with the accompanying guide and virtual discussion.

What kinds of books are included?
Our selections include a mix of adventure, fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, contemporary stories, and more. We choose books that are age-appropriate, engaging, and full of great storytelling.

What other items come in the box?
Each box includes fun and unique items related to the book—such as bookmarks, small gifts, activity sheets, and discussion questions—to enhance the reading experience.

Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely! Our book boxes make fantastic gifts. Just select the “Gift” option at checkout, and we’ll take care of the rest!

Do you offer books for different reading levels?
Yes! While all books are geared toward kids aged 9-12, we also consider different reading levels within that range. We try to select books that have a wide age and reading level appeal. If you have specific concerns, feel free to let us know when you subscribe.

When will my box arrive?
Orders placed before the 14th of the month will ship by the end of the month. Orders placed after the 14th will ship the following month.

What if I need to pause my subscription?
You can pause anytime through your account settings or by reaching out to our support team. No hassle, no stress!

Hi, I’m Ms KR (pictured with my son, Caspian), and I’ve spent over 20 years immersed in the world of Children’s Books. Working for a major national bookstore chain, I discovered my passion for connecting kids with stories that ignite their imaginations and foster a love of reading.
